Ian Middleton’s work on permanent display at Ring O’Bells Restaurant in Thornton, Bradford

Ian Middleton was recently commissioned by the award winning restaurant to produce a series of canvasses aimed at complimenting the refurbishment of the main dining room. Owners, Clive and Ann Preston wanted to introduce an art theme for their customer’s enjoyment and at the same time introduce some exciting, colourful backdrops when serving their amazing food.

A food theme was chosen with the aim of making a lively fun-filled display of contemporary art. Whilst Ian’s commercial roots were taxed to the limit on the project he has agreed to showcase his own art on a revolving monthly basis bringing an ever changing pictorial presentation.

‘Customer reaction has been amazing and positive’ says Ann Preston. ‘Ian is also helping us match certain paintings with our special food and wine theme evenings in order to maximise the atmosphere of the particular country’s cuisine involved’

Both Yorkshire Post and Yorkshire Life have recently featured the restaurant and art in their editorials with glowing praise!

Major works of Memories of Andalucia, The Domino Players and Girls Under Trees have all taken pride of place for a month under the main spotlight in the restaurant. June 2010 will see an exhibition of National Park.
