Dawn At The Boatyard

’Dawn At The Boatyard’ was completed in 2009 in oils on canvas and now resides with a collector in Germany. In common with Ian’s later career work the images are blended into a semi abstract, almost geometric composition. In this particular work, however, his brushwork is a great deal more casual than normal, concentrating more upon the mood of the painting than it’s actual construction.

150 signed and authenticated limited edition prints of the work were released for purchase, a few of which are still available at £180 directly from Somerville Arts or selected art retailers.
