Japanese Ladies With Fans

The Japanese ladies was completed in 2015 in oils on canvas and has been retained for exhibition purposes. In common with Ian’s later career work the images are colourfully blended into a semi abstract, almost geometric composition. The whole effect seems to radiate the light and colour of a stained glass window whilst creating the mood of Japan.

150 signed and authenticated limited edition prints of the work were released for purchase, a few of which are still available at £180 directly from Somerville Arts or selected art retailers.
